Transmitzvah
A feature film that explores the transition to adulthood in the Jewish community, a milestone traditionally celebrated with Bar Mitzvah for boys and Bat Mitzvah for girls. However, with the advancement of awareness and acceptance of gender identities beyond the binary, many communities have adopted inclusive approaches to mark this important time in the lives of their young people. From the use of the abbreviation "b mitzvah" to the celebration of "b'nei mitzvah" for a single child, these practices reflect evolving traditions in line with contemporary values.
